James Hayes
Associate Director of Wine and Beverage

Having been raised in a family with a fondness for food and wine, James discovered his desire for a career in restaurants at a very young age. Feeling a sense of satisfaction by contributing to guests' dining experiences, he began his career at sixteen, as a cook in a Westchester County, New York restaurant.

After attending Tulane University in New Orleans, James pursued his wine studies through the acclaimed American Sommelier Association and The Court of Master Sommeliers. He went on to hone his skills at restaurants like Emeril's Delmonico in New Orleans, The Blue Star in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Union Pacific in New York.

James has viewed Thomas Keller as a role model throughout his career, appreciating his humble yet focused approach. He began working for our company as an opening member of the team at Per Se where he played an integral role in achieving the restaurant's many accolades. The leadership and the enthusiasm he exhibits each day have allowed him to step into his current position with ease. James strives to continue Keller's legacy by creating personalized wine lists and exceptional beverage programs for all the TKRG properties.
